Thieves in Missy's Garden

Looks like the ladies are going to miss out on getting the sunflower seeds. Someone else has got there first.
We've had thieves in our garden.
We've always known Missy may be a watch dog but she's no guard dog.
She would have just sat and watched the criminals at work.

They've made quite a mess. Every flower has been attacked.

It didn't take long to find out who the culprits were.

Next morning they came back for more.

Caught in the act.

A pair of king parrots

We forgave them though.

We can't get mad at such beautiful creatures.

  1. How lovely to have them in your garden - we don't get them here.

  2. I thought at first they are rainbow lorikeets, but of course they cant finish all those giant flower's seeds. Those parrots are so beautiful, if i am there i will purposely plant the sunflower to call those birds! I smiled when you said Missy is just a watch dog, and visualize it watching while the parrots are eating, hahaha!

  3. OH they are gorgeous! They attacked ours too!

  4. You can't help but forgive such beauties!

  5. Wow! The culprits are so beautiful that I would have forgiven them!
Thanks for sharing. And thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment;o)

    Happy day****

  6. Lovely birds having a fun party. I'd grow sunflowers too if only they come to my garden.

  7. A true criminal story. Such smart and beautiful culprits. Once they know their way to the take away shop they are constant visitors. But as you say they are so much part of nature here in the gardens, what else could one do then admire them. We used to have always a couple coming to attack the tomatoes, green or red, and they made such a mess. we had to put them, the tomatoes, under netting. I have sometimes a tame one who comes for a visit. He follows me around until he gets a few seeds.

  8. You have parrots in your garden???? WOW!!!! I'd have to go to a zoo to see parrots here. Or a pet store, which would just make me sad. I wouldn't get mad at them for eating the sunflowers, either. :o)

I would love to know what you think and appreciate your comments.
